I have loved images all my life, and it only was natural to find myself in a creative career where I could work with them every day. While I was studying I supported a printhouse with designs and repro work. After I graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, in 2001. I found a job as a layout artist at an auctioneer house where I designed the advertisements and marketing material for upcoming auctions.
After about two years I moved on to become an in-house designer for a consulting firm, handling all the graphics, their website and materials related to marketing & branding. After that I expanded my graphic design skills by designing a very wide variety of materials for a design studio in Pretoria.
Right now I’m a freelance designer, graphic artist and mama. I continue to create new designs for clients, from logos to corporate identities and branding. Including marketing material, advertising (both for digital or print) and websites. I am developing my illustration skills and building my photography knowledge.
At home I care for a 5 year-old girly girl, and still love to paint and create arty things. We enjoy the outdoors
and visiting new places to learn about our diverse culture in Wellington. And then there is always time
for exploring the neighbourhood with my golden retriever!
I love to sum myself up in the words of William Blake: "I must create a system or be enslaved by another man’s. I will not reason and compare; My business is to create"
